Since starting with CRCS five years ago, community has always been the heart of my work. Working in community development, we rely on people power to work together and build something incredible. Connect Up is an example of just that.
I moved to Canberra from rural NSW and I’ve come to learn of the resilience of the Belconnen and Canberra communities, how we can come together in times of crisis and support one another when the going gets tough. Since then, I’ve wanted to support that nature in our community, such that we don’t need a crisis for us to feel comfortable reaching out and supporting one another.
In my own time I like to take advantage of the ACT’s plentiful parks and nature reserves. As well as taking advantage of any clear skies to bring out my telescope at night.
